I’m Alive.

My years of anxiety, panic, and loneliness have led me here - to a new state, and a heightened state, of calm acceptance and of peace. A new view on music, and a new lease on life for doing it.

I no longer make music with expectation. Instead, I make music to transcend, letting it carry me in whichever direction it desires.

The recording of this extended single was intended to be as minimal as possible. As minimal as possible. An engineer knows they have achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. I wanted these songs to be a whisper. Nothing more. Let them carry me away and into whatever waits for me.

The writing and recording of this material was accompanied by heavy meditation, bikram yoga, and regular attendance at mass.

    This song flew out of me as the perfect visualisation of what I had been feeling. For years, I had felt as though I was holding on so tightly to something and I just couldn’t give up. It hurt so much.

    As it turns out, you don’t need to ‘give up’. All you need to do is let go.

    I remember being in a relationship and one of us moving away. Whether it was moving to a new city or leaving for university, I can't quite remember now.

    Either way, I remember it feeling exactly like this.
