The Accidental Birth
One day in February 2026, while standing in the kitchen burning sage with Molly, she asked a simple question: “Do you have any music recorded that you haven’t released?”
I said, “Fuck yes I do,” and opened up the treasure chest of maybe 50+ songs I had. While some of them are obviously trash, these ones were not.
She told me to release them. I thought about it and realised, “I think I just might.”
Molly, being a filmmaker, decided she wanted to collaborate to bring these tracks to life visually. We ultimately chose Modern Youth - proving that songs never truly die… this one received its official music video 11 years after it was originally recorded - and Blue.

Recorded: 2015
The final last-ditch effort of my band, Peyote. George and I initially sat down with a drum machine in our flat in West Ham, London, and just started jamming. He played guitar, I played bass, and we got some riffs down. When he went to work, I wrote the lyrics.
Somehow, this song has always felt like the real deal to me. With the band falling away at the time, I was completely unsure of what came next. The phrase in the song—“just keep on making the music that you’re made of”—was something I desperately needed to tell myself. Just keep going.
La Danse
Recorded: 2025
Recorded in my flat in Brighton after discovering Dean Blunt for the first time. Hearing his work made me feel liberated to explore my own sound and just create a bit of this, that, and whatever. I found that as long as it feels cool to make, it’s probably cool.
Blue
Recorded: 2025
Cut during the exact same week of exploration as La Danse. This track was much more of a meditation for me; the lyrics are unedited, just the first words that came to mind.
You
Recorded: 2020
I wrote this song during the covid lockdown while going through the most emotionally unstable breakup of my life. I learned a lot from that period. Over the years, I’ve looked at recording this track properly with much heavier production, but nothing I ever did felt as raw or real as this initial Voice Memos app recording I made the day it was written.
Whatever
Recorded: 2022
This is the very first demo I made of Notice Me. There is an unpolished energy about it that I absolutely love, so it made the final cut.
