Soundtracks for Dreamers and The Wide Awake (2025)
Instability as Inspiration
The first half of 2025 was a period of unstable growth, with chaos at home, in the heart, and at work.
For many independent artists, instability means less output. Not for lack of creativity, but because writing, recording, mixing, designing artwork, booking shows and running campaigns become almost impossible when you're packing and unpacking boxes, trying to build a life with barely two pennies to rub together.
I chose to see it differently.
As an opportunity to move forward - to search for new places, new perspectives and new inspiration. Much of my third EP was written during this period.
And as an opportunity to look back.
In 2023, I started this project from scratch.
For the first time, I was making music entirely under my own name. There were no bandmates bringing their own audiences, no established network and no safety net. Just a full-time job in London, evenings spent writing songs, and a belief that if I kept showing up, something meaningful might slowly begin to take shape.
Over the following two years, it did.
Two EPs. A sold-out launch show at Strongroom Bar in Shoreditch. A five-date tour across Italy. Countless miles travelled, lessons learned and people met along the way.
Soundtracks for Dreamers and The Wide Awake is essentially a compilation. A snapshot of everything this first chapter became.
Looking back reminds me how much has already happened.
Looking forward reminds me how much is still to come.
This is only the beginning.
There will be more chapters. More songs. More mistakes. More miles. More extraordinary people I haven't even met yet.
As exciting as it is to imagine the future, I've realised it's just as important to honour where you've been.
